The Fire Systems Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing and maintaining pumps, alarms, sprinkler systems and other components. The technician will supervise and/or perform all preventive maintenance, inspections, tests, and repairs.

  • Identify and recommend required strategies and equipment to mitigate fire and safety hazards. 
  • Responsible for the inspecting and testing alarm systems, fire doors, transmitters, sprinkler systems, high expansion foam systems, dry and wet chemical systems, and mass notification systems.
  • Responsible for installing and replacing fire equipment such as alarms, pumps, single station smoke detectors etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating work activities with location management and location maintenance manager.
  • Responsible for compliance with safety standards as applicable to the job.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with fire systems inspections, fire codes and standards for wet systems, dry systems, foam systems, and MNS (Mass Notification System) Systems. 

Desired Job Qualifications:

Thorough knowledge of service life safety equipment and use of tools common to the trade.
Extensive experience with fire and life safety codes.
Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision to complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.

Necessary Licenses or Certifications:

  • Level IV NICET Certification in Fire Alarms. (Level IIIs considered however, must complete Level IV within a specified period)
  • NICET Certification in Fire Sprinkler and Special Hazards.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time (40 hours per week)
  • Position may require some travel
